Preparation for Vertical Slice


Hello all! We are currently making progress on our game in general while focusing ahead on what will be needed for our Vertical Slice (or also named Core Gameplay Demo) on 20th December 2020.

This week, we are establishing:

  • Our Art Asset List
  • Our Audio Asset List
  • Polishing already existing Systems/Code
  • Adding in the other important Systems before the due time (this includes the Quest, Shop and Upgrading System)

Over the next two weeks, our artists will be creating all the art necessary for the Vertical Slice, our audio assets will be added, and functionally our game will include the most important Systems and elements. Although the aesthetics will be important, we are focusing more on having the movement and combat feel fast-paced for the player/playtester - as this is what was lacking mostly in our Playtest a few weeks back.

Here's a fun little update too... This week on Twitter, we conducted a poll - we asked, what hair suits Kat, our main character, the most!

ORANGE IT IS! sorry got a bit excited. Kat is now currently having her hair makeover - you'll see her new look soon.
